Materials, care and size

MATERIALS
High-quality ABS plastic, BPA-free, with smooth edges and magnets set inside.

SIZE
The rods measure about 5.5 cm, 7.5 cm and 9 cm. The balls are about 1.4 cm across. The larger sets also include curved pieces and wheel sets.

VERSIONS
33, 51, 74 or 124 pieces. The split between rods, balls and special pieces is shown in the maker's images for each version.

STORAGE
The set comes in a box with a handle according to the product photos.

AGE
The maker doesn't give an age.

CARE
Wipe with a damp cloth.

SAFETY - MAGNETS
The pieces contain magnets. If a piece breaks the magnet can come free, and magnets are dangerous to swallow: if a child swallows two or more they can pull together through the bowel wall, and that's an emergency needing a doctor immediately. Check the pieces regularly, throw away any piece with a crack straight away, and count them up after play.
How big are the pieces?

The rods are between 5.5 and 9 cm, and the balls are 1.4 cm across. That's considerably larger than classic magnet balls and means a child can grip them with a whole hand rather than fingertips.
What can you build?

Vehicles, houses, animals, towers and flowers, anything you can make with a frame of rods and joints. The larger sets include wheels and curved pieces, so the builds can roll and take rounded shapes.
Which size should I choose?

33 pieces is enough for one build at a time and plenty for a small child. 51 and 74 leave room for bigger structures and for two children to build their own. 124 is the set that doesn't run out halfway through a project.
What age is it for?

The maker doesn't give an age, and we won't set one we have no basis for. The play itself works from about three, when your child can put two pieces together. Please read the safety note about magnets. The set shouldn't be out while a child who still puts things in their mouth is in the room.
