How does it work?

You unscrew the pen cap, fill the pen with plain tap water and screw the cap back on. As the pen moves across a page, the colours appear where the water lands. No paint, pens or anything else is needed.
How many times can the pages be used?

The maker doesn't put a number on it, but the pages dry in five to ten minutes and go white again, ready to use from the start. In practice it's the kind of book that comes out again and again until the paper wears out.
Can it be used in the car?

Yes, that's one of the best things about it. There's only water in the pen, so nothing can be spilled that stains. Fill the pen before you set off and lay it inside the book when you stop, so there's nothing to roll away between the seats.
What age is it for?

The maker says from 3 years. That fits with your child needing to be able to hold the pen and understand that the colours appear where they paint. The pen cap is a small part, so use the book with an adult nearby for the youngest.
