At 28 x 23 cm, an A4 folder or an ordinary school book of 30 x 21 cm can't lie flat in the bag. This is a bag for nursery, preschool and short trips, not for starting school. If it's for school, choose a larger one.

What fits inside?

Does it stand up to rain?

The fabric has a water-repellent finish that handles standing out in light rain and having a water bottle spilled over it. That isn't the same as waterproof. In a proper downpour the contents will get damp if the bag is left outside.
