SAFETY
The product contains a button cell battery. Button cells are dangerous to swallow. Check that the battery compartment is screwed shut, and use the tablet with an adult nearby for younger children.
How do you erase?

With a button. One press clears the whole screen instantly. There's also a lock function, so a drawing your child wants to keep doesn't get erased by accident in a bag.
Can the drawings be saved?

Not digitally. The tablet has no memory and no connection to a phone. What you can do is lock the screen so the drawing stays, and photograph it if it needs keeping.
Which size should I choose?

The small 8.5 inch is a good travel size that fits in a bag and in a pram. The large 12 inch gives room to draw something bigger and works better at a table at home. Many people take the small one out and leave the large one at home.
Can the battery be replaced?

Yes. It's a 3V CR2025 button cell, available everywhere and changed following the maker's instructions. Be aware that button cells are dangerous to swallow. Change the battery without your child beside you, and check the compartment is closed afterwards.
