MATERIALS

BUBBLE SOLUTION

THE MAKER'S BUBBLE SOLUTION RECIPE
Mix 250 ml of lukewarm distilled water with 4 tbsp of washing-up liquid. Let the mixture stand for 5 minutes. Add 2-4 drops of vegetable oil.

CARE
Rinse the bubble wheel in clean water after use, so the soap doesn't dry into the rings. The blower itself contains electronics and a battery compartment and mustn't go in water.

Is the bubble solution included?

No. That's worth knowing, because a bottle of bubble solution appears in the product photos, but the maker states explicitly that it isn't included. Buy a bottle separately, or make your own using the recipe in the materials section.
Does it need batteries?

Yes, 3 AA batteries, and they aren't included. Do buy them in advance along with the bubble solution, so the blower can be used the day it's unwrapped.
How is the bubble tray used?

You pour the bubble solution into the tray and dip the blower's wheel into it. When the trigger is pressed, the wheel turns through the solution and the blower sends the bubbles out. The tray means the wheel can be refilled in a second without spilling.
Can it be used indoors?

We wouldn't recommend it. It makes a lot of bubbles in a short time, and soapy water on a floor gets slippery. The maker describes it as an outdoor toy for the garden and the playground, and that's where it works best.
