Use the elephant as intended, and check it over from time to time. Large plush toys and cushions don't belong in a baby's cot. Use it for play and rest with supervision.
How big is it really?

About 60 cm from nose to tail end. That's big enough for a small child to sit against, and big enough to be visible on a sofa or a bed, while still being carryable.
Can it be washed?

Yes. The maker states machine wash and no bleach. The filling is PP cotton, which dries slowly, so give it plenty of time to air dry right through before it goes back on the bed.
What does the choice between 1 and 2 elephants mean?

You can buy either one elephant in the colour you choose, or two together. With two you can mix the colours, grey and pink for instance, or two the same. It's the same elephant either way.
Can it be used as a pillow?

It's soft enough to rest a head on while your child watches television or lies on the floor, and that's how it's described too. It isn't a pillow for the night, and it shouldn't be in the cot with a baby.
