Montessori Busy Board for Toddlers

Evenings before dinner used to be tricky with my toddler getting overtired and grumpy. Giving her this to work through while I cook has genuinely helped, she's properly focused rather than under my feet. The felt has washed well after a couple of accidental spills too.

Looked at a few similar boards before settling on this one and I'm glad I did, it feels much better made than I expected for the price. My son is 20 months and loves undoing the buckles over and over. No loose threads or wonky stitching anywhere.

Lovely busy board and my daughter has taken to it well, though a couple of the zips were quite stiff when it first arrived. They've loosened up with use so it's not really an issue now. Would still recommend it for toddlers wanting something hands on.

We're at the doctors and dentist a fair bit with my daughter and this has become our go to distraction. She's 2 and quietly works through the pages instead of running around the waiting room. Small enough to keep in the bottom of the pram without adding much weight.

My son struggled with buttons and zips on his coat so we got this to practise with at home. Within a couple of weeks he was doing his own zip up without help. Small thing but it's made a real difference to his independence.

Bought one board and the pages detach easily enough that my twins can each have a section without fighting over it. They're 3 now and still use it most days after school. Held up really well considering how much it gets thrown around.

The board itself is great and my son loves working through the different activities on his own. The carrying handle is a bit thin and digs into small hands when he insists on carrying it himself. Everything else about it has been spot on though.

My daughter is 2 and a half and this is the first toy that's kept her occupied long enough for me to drink a hot cup of tea. She particularly loves the wheel with the seasons on it. Feels durable and the colours are still bright after weeks of daily use.

Our eldest had one of these years ago and it lasted so well we bought another for our youngest. Still just as engaging, he's obsessed with the shape sorting pages. Good value considering how much use we've got out of the first one.

Bought this as a first birthday present and his mum says it's become his favourite thing in the house. The zips are a bit tricky for him at 13 months but he's getting there with a bit of help. Looks well made and washes easily when it gets grubby.

Our twins are 2 and a half and car trips used to be chaos. Bought two of these and now they're both quietly working through the fastenings instead of shouting at each other. Handles are sturdy enough that they don't fall apart being dragged around.

Went for the version with the extra alphabet and number pages and it's been brilliant for my 3 year old who's just starting to recognise letters. She'll sit and match the animal puzzles for ages. Definitely earns its keep compared to other toys gathering dust in the cupboard.

As a first time mum I was cautious about small parts but everything on this feels properly attached and the felt is soft with no sharp edges. My 14 month old mouths things constantly and I haven't had any concerns. Genuinely engaging for her age too.

Really pleased with the range of activities on this, my son loves the belt buckles especially. After about six weeks the clock face sticker has started lifting slightly at one corner. Doesn't stop him using it but I'd have liked it to hold up a bit longer.

Folds down small enough that it doesn't take up much room alongside the nappies and wipes. My daughter uses it most at grandma's house since it's easy to bring along. The handle is a nice touch for little hands to carry it themselves.

My son is 22 months and never sits still for anything. Somehow this holds his attention for a proper stretch, especially the zips and the star shapes. Handle makes it easy for him to carry around the house himself.

Got this hoping my 4 year old and 2 year old could share and the detachable pages actually make that possible. They each take a couple of pages and sit together working through them. Better than any toy we've bought this year.

The board itself is fine and my little one enjoys it, but the parcel turned up quite dented and one corner of the felt was creased when it arrived. It's flattened out a bit with use but I was disappointed given the price. Would still consider buying again for a second one.

We were trying to cut down screen time with our 18 month old and this has been the answer. She sits with it every morning while I make breakfast, working her way through the different pages. Feels well made and the colours haven't faded at all.

Took this on a flight with our 2 year old and it was worth every penny. No tablet, no meltdown, just him working through the zips and the little clock face. Light enough to carry in the changing bag with everything else.

We eat out a lot with my 3 year old and this has genuinely saved us. She unclips and reclips the buckles without any help now and barely looks up from the board. Wipes clean easily when she inevitably gets sauce on it.

My daughter is obsessed with the shoe lacing bit and honestly practices it more than her actual shoes. After a couple of months the lace itself looks slightly frayed at the tip, so I'd like it to be a touch more robust. Still very happy with it overall.

Our son is 20 months and gets bored fast on the motorway. This straps onto his lap and keeps his hands occupied the whole way to my parents' house. Folds up small enough to live in the door pocket too.

Bought this for my 2 year old after one too many meltdowns at the table. She sits there working through the buckles and zips for a good twenty minutes while we actually finish a meal. The felt feels sturdy and the stitching hasn't come loose despite daily use.
