The figures have electronics inside. Use them with an adult nearby, and stop using a figure if it gets a hole.
How many animals are in the set?

The maker only says '1 set'. The photos show four animals at a time - starfish, crab, seal, octopus, dolphin and turtle in different combinations. Email us before you order and we'll count them on a real one.
How do they turn on?

On their own. Each figure has a sensor in the base that reacts to water, so they start glowing on contact and switch off again when you take them out. There is no button to find with wet hands.
What age are they for?

The maker says from 3 years, and that's what we go with, even though the sales text mentions babies elsewhere. If you're unsure, email us with your child's age before you order.
Can they be used in a paddling pool?

Yes. They float and light up just as well in a washing-up bowl or a paddling pool as in the bath. In a big pool they can drift off, so keep an eye on them there.
